Description
Slice the wind with ease on the Sixty Six Clincher Wheelset. Incredible 66mm rim profiles offer unmatched aerodynamics, stiffness and durability. And, the extra-tough deeper rim allows for a lower front and rear spoke count to shed weight without neglecting strength.
Like all the wheels in the totally reworked 2011 race line, the Sixty Six features Reynolds' updated UL (Ultra Light) high modulus full carbon rim construction. This new layup process produces an featherweight rim that's amazingly stiff and still strong enough to command respect on the cobbles of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
The new design manages to shave a few more seconds off finish times with 'Swirl Lip Generator' technology, which operates on the basic principle of an airplane wing. By adding a 0.9mm lip to the rim's leading edge, the surrounding air is encouraged to 'stick' to the rim surface, allowing the wheel to travel with minimal resistance. As an added bonus, the 'Swirl Lip Generator' also improves handling in crosswinds.
The CTg brake track is another impressive update, delivering extremely responsive braking performance when paired with the new Cryo Blue pads (included).
