Thanks to a unique "square" shape and textured surface, tube actually resists puncture better than traditional round tube. This unique design causes the tube to compress, rather than expand, when pieced by a sharp object. A sealant has also been added to increase the "self-plugging" effect at the origin of the puncture.
As an added bonus, the square design also eliminates twisting during installation and holds pressure twice as a long as a traditional round tube, so you can spend less time pumping up your tires, and more time out on your bike.
This version of the Protek Max tube is sized for 700c x 35mm to 42mm tires (35/42-622 ISO). Available with a 40mm Presta valve or a 35mm Schrader valve. 266g (tube weights may vary).
