Mavic Syncro Helmet

great look, low profile, awesome fit. the only downside is the bright red strap.

My old helmets usable date was ending so I had been looking at various helmets. Im what you could call a fair weather biker so ventilation is a big issue. The Mavic Syncro provides plenty of fresh air. An additional point, unlike other helmets in this price range, the back foam is protected. I have found over the years my old helmet was getting damaged in the back just by normal use.

I got this helmet after wearing a bell volt for about two years. I didn't realize how ill-fitting and loud the bell was until my first ride the the syncro. It fits so well, it feels like not wearing a helmet. It also doesn't bulge out, so you can go ahead and get a generous size and not worry about the mushroom head look. Also, it doesn't really go for max ventilation, which is nice when riding in any temperature below 60, cause you stay warm, and this also helps you hear what your riding partners are saying. The adjustment system is easy and the dial is actually padded, unlike a lot of other helmets.

and if you look at this versus the plasma (not the plasma slr) the syncro is lighter. I also have mavic shoes which fit really well, I would say that fit is also the highlight of this product, mavic seems to have a good system for designing products that fit really well.

Like everthing about this Helmet. Love it. Ride around 100 miles a week.

I use this on all road biking excursions. It's a great design, love the all black matte finish. My only issue is the weight. It's no problem in the winter but in the heat of the summer you can really feel the weight and it gets uncomfortable.
