Description
Why choose between aerodynamics, strength and weight savings when you can have it all? The revolutionary Mad Fiber Wheelset eliminates the compromise from performance wheel selection.
The totally unique, patent pending carbon design delivers a wind cheating advantage that performs on on the flats, excels on the climbs and doesn't get caught up in the crosswinds. And, with a mere 1085 gram system weight and no rider weight limit, Mad Fiber wheels manage to reduce drag without tacking on extra weight or compromising durability-- so you can hit the rough roads in complete confidence.
Even the skeptics can rest assured -- each wheelset is backed up by a four year warranty and damage replacement policy. Skewers, cork brake pads, and valve extenders are also included.

Is this the perfect wheel?

It's silly light (my set weighs 1038 grams). It's fairly aero with a 60mm66mm profile and bladed spokes. It's amazingly solid and stable feeling, thanks to the White Industries heavy-duty cromoly axles. It's much more comfortable than other carbon wheels I've owned. It has low lateral flex so the brakes don't rub when I'm cranking out of the saddle. It's very strong - almost every other wheel this light has a rider weight limit set by the manufacturer. It has great braking - the fiberglass layer they added to the braking surface provides excellent modulation and braking force, even in wet conditions. It's reliable - at least the manufacturer thinks so and is standing behind them with a 4 year warranty. It's reasonably priced for a carbon wheel. And it looks incredibly cool.
So, my answer is yes, this is the perfect wheel.

My friends thought I was a little crazy buying a set of these last Fall. A crazy light wheelset from a new company for a not-insignificant sum of money. And at 6'3 and 205, I'm not a light guy. But I have to tell yuh, these wheels are the cat's meow. They're about as stiff as any wheel I've tried, and much better than other so-called lightweight wheels (that are actually hundreds of grams heavier than these). Nice braking with good modulation, even in the wet. Super-quick acceleration. But what really surprised me was how much they improved the stability of my bike on descents. The White Industries hubs have a very beefy axle that will improve the tracking of just about any frame.
After several thousand miles, these wheels appear bullet proof. I've hit some pretty harsh pot holes, train tracks and cattle guards at high speeds and they show no signs of fatigue. And boy do they look cool. No question, this is the best wheelset I've ever ridden.
