The wait is over. After extensive research and development, Mad Fiber brings the convenience of clincher tires to their revolutionary aerodynamic, featherweight wheelset.

Like their tubular counterparts, the Mad Fiber Road Clincher Wheels feature 60mm (front) and 66mm (rear) rim profiles, bladed spokes (12f/18r) and narrow flange spacing. The totally unique, patent pending carbon design delivers a wind cheating advantage that performs on on the flats, excels on the climbs and doesn't get caught up in the crosswinds. In fact, these wheels have been validated in the San Diego low speed wind tunnel as being among the best in the business in terms of aerodynamics, and particularly distinguish themselves from the competition in crosswinds.

This wind slicing advantage comes with a mere 1250 gram system weight and no rider weight limit. This outstanding balance is achieved thanks to a new three piece rim design, the clincher rim is composed of two carbon sidewalls and a thin alloy top section. Unlike full carbon designs, the aluminum tire hook provides outstanding strength without excess material, allowing the rim to resist the outward force exerted by a high pressure clincher tire without a significant weight penalty. As an added bonus, the aluminum insert draws heat from the carbon sidewalls while structurally reinforcing the rim. And because Mad Fiber specifies a carbon fiber, resin and adhesives that are stable at higher temperatures than those used by other wheel makers, their carbon clincher delivers performance and safety, even in extreme conditions.

The newest generation of Mad Fiber wheels feature a one piece drive side spoke construction for even stiffer, stronger performance. As with their previous wheels, Mad Fiber's Clincher Road Wheels come with a four year crash replacement policy, and despite their exceptionally low weight, these wheels carry no rider weight restriction.

The Mad Fiber Clincher Wheelset include skewers, cork brake shoes, and valve extenders. It's available with either White or Grey (Reflective) decals, steel or ceramic bearings, and compatible with Shimano/SRAM 8/9/10 and Shimano 11-speed cassettes or Campagnolo 9/10/11 speed cassettes.
