I have a 7 mile one-way commute, and I got tired of the time it took to stretch booties over bike shoes every rainy or cold day for a short trip to and from work. I was looking for a shoe that would keep my feet warm & dry with less time and fuss. The Ergo Grip proved to be just what I was looking for. An easy pull-tight lace system and a simple zip closure to the neoprene top shave a couple of minutes off putting the shoes on relative to the shoebootie system I was using. Only a few heavy rain commutes this winter, but no leaks so far. And the shoes keep my feet comforably warm, although we haven't had any serious cold below 32F. Sizing seems true. The sole is stiffer than my other MTB shoes, which is plus for pedaling. Despite this, the shoes are still comfortable enought for the walking parts of my commute. The hard plastic cleats give good traction in mud and snow. There's enough room in the toe box for toe warmers when I go for longer rides in the cold (think Chilly Hilly). The shoes seem sturdily constructed, and they have a useful amount of reflective trim.
One caution is that the top of the neoprene is higher than most cycling socks, and I was aware of the bootie top against my bare leg. It's given me no problems commuting, but I was concerned about possible friction and hot1 spots on longer rides. I've since found a cycling sock with a higher cuff, and that eliminated any friction concerns.
Looking forward to a lot of winter miles in these shoes.
