Description
Look raises the bar again with the cutting edge Keo Blade Carbon Ti Pedals. Their radical design sheds existing conventions, employing a carbon spring instead of metal for a significant weight reduction. Plus, the surprisingly durable carbon spring is fully replaceable in the rare event of breakage, eliminating any sacrifice.
The larger spindle diameter also increases strength, allowing Look to market their Titanium spindle without a rider weight limit. Dual bearing design uses two roller bearings and one needle bearings for smooth performance and excellent wear resistance.
The low-profile carbon body follows the design principles of the other Keo 2 offerings with a large platform and low stack height. Stainless protection plate reduces wear to the engagement surface. 12 Nm or 16 Nm spring tension. 186g/pair.

These pedals clip in easier than other Keo pedals I've owned and hold very securely. They require a little more effort to clip out but are easy to get used to. The platform is quite large. Even after 100 mile rides, I've had no problems with hot spots and power transfer is excellent.
I splurged for a pair of these on my favorite bike and I think they were worth the investment. I wish I could afford to get a pair for each of my other bikes.
