I'am using the garmin for training and logging my workout. It is a excellent product. The heart rate moniter works great, and the cadance is also great. I like the waterproof feature also.

This is a fine instrument. Things started off badly when my HR monitor didn't work from the outsdet. Garmin support was very helpful, claiming that they'd immediately ship a replacement. After nothing turned up in the following two weeks, they confessed that it was on back order. Then it arrived and I could check out how everything works. My general impression is very favorable. The information is easy to download and the computer is mostly easy to manipulate. In very cold weather, I have accidentally erased my workout while fumbling with thick gloves. Another mishap involved my inability to erase the lLap timer-all my rides were somehow calculated according to a 6.1 mile distance. But that amounts to a quibble, and the support people at Garmin quickly steered me through the menu, enabling me to fix it. Most of my teammates have a 500, and I've encouraged those who don't to invest in one.
