Description With its 50mm deep gloss carbon weave rims and hub shell the Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR looks as fast as it is. The super light weight all carbon tubular rims slice through the air providing aerodynamic advantage. The rear drive side hub flange is incredibly large but material is removed where unneeded for direct power transfer, light weight and a killer look. But it is what is inside that counts. CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) ceramic bearings are of the highest quality and roll with oil rather than grease for greater smoothness and easier serviceability. The ceramic bearings pair with Cronitect® races and a thermochemical treatment for incredible durability and smoothness over standard stainless races.
Butted and bladed spokes round out this stiff, light and aerodynamic package. 18 spokes are radially laced in front with 21 spokes laced in Fulcrum's signature two-to-one pattern. For every spoke on the non-drive side of the wheel, there is a pair of spokes on the drive-side to compensate for the incredible torque received by the drivetrain. Includes 2 skewers, 2 valve extenders, 2 valve tools, and 4 specially formulated carbon brake pads (Fulcrum carbon rims require the use of these special pads). Tubular tire compatible only. 1300 grams (weighed without skewers).
