I purchased one of these as a replacement for an Arione, which I found to be hard, narrow, and somewhat crowned in the center-not a big issue on shorter rides, but a problem after 2 hours. The Aliante is on the wide side for a racing saddle, and has some shell flex as well, which makes it support you better than a stiffer saddle would, but without feeling too mushy or hammock-like. The shape is very good too, no thigh chafing or perineum pressure. It's not the lightest saddle out there, but it's quite light, and any additional grams are well worth the comfort. I've been very happy with it as a racinghard training saddle, and would replace it with the same thing if something happened to it. As an added bonus, it's compatible with the Fizik ICS saddlebag system. And if you get it in white, and put new white bar tape on your bike, you will be 2-3 mph faster.
