While last year's design excelled specifically in soft conditions, the new Mountain King offers more well rounded performance. Short center lugs don't slow you down on hardpack, while a larger center 'void' effectively tosses mud aside. Continental has also beefed up the shoulder lugs for improved cornering on wide variety of terrain.
