Description Continental's revered Gatorskin gets even tougher. Gator Hardshell builds on its predecessor's reputation as a durable yet supple training tire with the same snappy handling and even better flat resistance. The updated design features three levels of flat protection: a Duraskin top layer extends sidewall to sidewall to keep sharp objects out, while a Hardshell under layer for extends protection without impeding handling. The final layer is composed of Conti's advanced PolyX material featuring densely woven Polyester threads to further repel glass and thorns. Now you can train enjoyably without the worry. 27" x 1 1/4" (ISO 32-630).
Note: Continental has recently added wear indicators to all Gator Hardshell tires. These small divots in the tread surface are intentional and are not a sign of a factory defect. Once the rubber wears to the point where the divots are no longer discernible, you'll know it's time to replace.

The tire arrived 3 days ago and I've only logged about 20 miles on it. It rolls smooth and fast. I can't speak to it's durability as yet, but I love it right now. Makes my old Puch Meteor Luxe feel like a real speedster. Because its' so stiff it was a little hard to install and had me wishing for a 3rd hand, well worth it though. I thought, This thing is going to ride like its' made of granite. Rides like a dream.
