Description
Campagnolo's most advanced 10-speed crank. The 2011 Centaur model has been totally re-worked for more efficient power transfer and even better shifting than last year's design. This Alloy version features a forged aluminum construction for traditional style, increased durability and an even more affordable price. A Carbon Crank is also available for those looking to save a few additional grams.
The most noticeable update is Power-Torque technology with a full length spindle integrated into the right crank arm. This design eliminates the mid-shell hirth bolt of last year's model, simplifying the installation process while ensuring an incredibly rigid ride quality. The drive side bearing is integrated to the crank, while the non-drive side bearing is included with the bottom bracket cups (available separately). Improved seals stand up to inclement weather, keeping out contaminants and increasing bearing life. Q and U factors have been optimized for comfort and efficient power output.
The MPS™ (Micro Precision Shifting) chainring design is also new for this year- redesigned tooth profiles and updated shift guide pins offer improved chain engagement for lightening fast, accurate shifting in both directions. Available in Standard (53/39) or Compact (50/34) configurations.
Compatible with 10-speed systems only. 742 gram claimed weight. Requires Power Torque Bottom Bracket Cups (sold separately ).
