Blackburn Camber CF Carbon Bottle Cage

Used to be that the problem was keeping the water-bottles in their cages using aluminum cages. Then about 10 years ago, carbon cages became available. I invested in several different brands until I came upon the Arundel line of cages: the Trident & the Dave-O, and subsequently, the Mandible. Excellent cages in their own right, but now the problem became removing the bottles from the cages while riding. The Trident & Dave-O, especially when they became wet from formulas such as Cytomax, caused an increase in stickiness such that it became an exercise in...well, let's just say it became a real exercise to remove the bottles at all. The Mandible, though minimalist compared to Arundel's earlier attempts, clamped the waterbottles with the ferocity of a Pit Bull. I tried Zipp's version, and that was much better, but very pricy. At long last, I saw the ad for the Blackburns, and attracted by their exterior enamel gloss finish, I purchased a set. After all these years I finally found a water-bottle cage which held the bottles securely but not in a death grip. Furthermore, painted a high gloss finish to match my bike (Colnago CX-1) I have gone over the roughest RR tracks and rough grooved surfaces and never has a bottle been set free. Easy to remove, easy to replace, very attractive finish and configuration, I would give this bottle 5 stars, and highly recommend. Their weight is equal to or less than any of the others mentioned and are not astronomically priced.

The matte white is exactly the same as my new Ridley Damocles. It looks great, holds the bottles firmly, but it is very easy to get the bottles in and out. I am very happy with my two.

Best cage I've bought thus far. Light weight, secure hold. Doesn't scratch up your water bottles. Highly recommended.

This cage was available at a great price. I purchased two of them for a new road bike. They look great. And match the bike's paint well. Different size bottles fit just fine in them. Very pleased with these cages.

The Blackburn is an excellent lightweight bottle cage which allows easy access to a bottle yet still holds it securely even on roads with rough pavement and it comes in a variety of colors which will compliment almost any bicycle. The gloss blue is a perfect match for the blue trim on my Giant TCR and the gloss red version matches the trim on my Specialized Roubaix. The matte white was the perfect compliment for the trim on my wife's Specialized Ruby.

I bought 2 of these cages and they look great as well as do what they are supposed to do - hold bottles firmly, and make it easy to get them out. Like most, I bought to enhance the look over metal cages, but it is hard justifying the cost. Just wait until they go on sale like I did!

I bought 2 of these to replace a cage that came with my Pinarello Dogma 2.Great finish, good holding and easy in and out with these cages and good looking too. Exceeded my expectations.

Blackburn makes a very beautiful bottle cage. Im a avid bike rider and racer and I have an eye for quality when it comes to my bike parts. Blackburn has it the mark with this cage!

Very slick looking and won't pop a bottle out. I've used many other carbon cages and these are my favorite. The tab is massive and won't snap on you like so many other carbon cages do.

I had been looking at CF water bottle cages for some time. Some had issues with breaking & cracking, bottle retention issues, & still others had bottle fit issues. I had tried a couple others & while they were light and looked good I wasn't happy with some aspect of them & returned them.

These fit the bike, fit the bottles, hold them tight, and have a lifetime warranty so if they did crack or break the replacement should be easy. I've used Blackburn products for a lot of years. They have always made a quality product and these water bottle cages do not disappoint. I m really happy with these!

this product comes in many colors so matches well with many frames. Fit on bottles is tight but still easy exit and entry of standard bottles

I always wanted a carbon bottle cages for my bike but I just couldn't justify the exorbitant cost. These were reasonably priced so I pulled trigger and I'm glad I did. I was a bit skeptical at first since I believe in the old adage, you get what you pay for but I'd say in this case I got a bit more than what I paid for ( got it on sale). The finish isn't as tight as my buddy's $60 a pop cage but my set certainly performs the same. I got the matte white to go w my matte white frame (Trek Cronus) and they match perfectly and makes my bike look more complete (A club member I ride with asked me if I got a new bike!) Most importantly, my Camelbak Podium bottles slide in out effortlessly but they never fly out accidentally ( I've gone over some serious bumps). I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the less than perfect finish but it's a solid performer.

They hold bottles well, not super grippy (you drop the bottles in, don't have to push them in) but haven't had any issues with bottles falling out even on cobbles & gravel. They're light & sleek on the bike, they're pretty minimal so durability may be a concern long term, but so far so good. Replaced some Tacx Tao cages that broke when the plastic tabs snapped off the bottom, so these being one piece was appealing.

well, not much you can say about a water cage looks cool, expensive extragavagance to buy a carbon cage.
