24mm front rim profile keeps stable in crosswinds and rolls quickly up the hills, while the 28mm rear rim profile increases strength and power transfer, while offering a wind cheating advantage. Special inter-spoke machining removes excess material without sacrificing strength. The lack of spoke holes on the rim bed eliminates the need for rim tape and allows the material to be thinner and lighter without sacrificing strength. The final touch on on the rim's design is Campy's Dynamic Balancing, which keeps it smooth rolling at high speeds with no dead spots.
Record-level oversized hubs spin smooth with serviceable grade 10 stainless steel ball bearings. Ultra Aero butted aluminum spokes and alloy nipples. 16 spokes front, laced radially and 21 rear laced in a G3 pattern for an excellent combination of strength, stiffness and power transfer, while keeping weight to an absolute minimum.
